1. Initial Meeting
We’ll kick things off with a meeting where I get to know your project. Before we chat, you’ll fill out a quick design request form to help guide our conversation. During the meeting, we’ll talk about your goals for the website—what you want it to do, who it’s for, and how you’d like it to feel. We’ll also review your brand (logos, fonts, colors, etc.) and explore inspiration together, whether that’s websites you love, Pinterest boards, or anything else you’ve collected.
2. Style Guide
Once I understand your vision, I’ll create a custom style guide to shape the look and feel of your site. This includes a color palette, typefaces, and a visual style that matches your inspiration and preferences. I’ll also design icons and other graphic elements that give your site a unique personality. From there, I’ll mock up a few layout options so you can choose the one that best fits your style and goals.
3. Design
With the style in place, I start building the structure of your site. First, I’ll create wireframes (simple outlines) of a few key pages and get your feedback, either through email or a follow-up meeting—whatever works best for you. Once those are approved, I’ll wireframe the rest of the site and check in again. Then, I move on to high-fidelity mockups, which show the final design in full color, with all fonts, images, and layout details in place.
4. Final Changes & Launch!
After you approve the final mockups, I’ll begin building the actual website. I’ll make sure everything is responsive, meaning it looks great on desktops, tablets, and phones. Once the build is complete, we’ll do a final review together, make any needed tweaks, and then—your website goes live!
